Welcome to your home away from home
What makes our conservation project truly special is our island family. All our shark warriors live and work together, creating a close-knit and caring atmosphere at our HQ. We are passionate about making everyone who joins our island family feel a genuine sense of belonging and comfort.
Accomodation
Our HQ is located just a short two-minute bike ride away from the beach. We have five lovely traditional bungalows that were renovated in December 2022, with a beautiful ocean theme. Each bungalow has hot and cold water, air conditioning (A/C), and a safety deposit box for your convenience and safety.
During your stay with us, you will be sharing a bungalow with maximum three other ocean lovers. If you prefer more privacy, you can choose to book a private bungalow for an additional $20 USD per night. To find out if there are any private bungalows available during your requested program dates, just send us a message at sharks@gilisharkconservation.com. We are always happy to help!
Daily Housekeeping
We understand the importance of a clean and tidy living space. Our dedicated HQ staff; Joe, Mira and Anto, will sweep your room every day, and we provide fresh sheets and towels every three days to ensure a pleasant stay. If you require additional cleaning, feel free to inform us and we will be more than happy to assist you.
Happiness is homemade
At HQ we love to make things ourselves! For breakfast you can enjoy vegan pancakes, homemade bread &jam, homemade yoghurt, homemade granola, eggs, and a selection of fresh fruit. Furthermore we offer coffee and tea, a selection of soda’s, homemade jamu and homemade lemonade with lime and Aloe Vera. Our homemade kombucha is even on the house!
Are you coming back from the dive and feeling a little bit peckish? We got you covered! Try our famous homemade peanut butter cookies, chocolate cookies, pumpkin cake or banana bread.
Amenities for Comfort and Productivity
During your stay, you’ll have access to a variety of amenities to ensure your comfort and productivity. Our HQ features a spacious office space for work-related activities, several designated spaces to relax and study, and a fully equipped communal kitchen with an oven, gas stove, toaster, fridge, and freezer, which all members of our island family can use.
