We need a healthy ocean for our survival. Our beaches are the bridge between our world and the ocean. We must keep our beaches clean if we hope to keep our oceans clean. We made it our mission to do a minimum of 200 beach clean-ups in the next five years.
One of the major benefits of organizing a beach clean-up is that it brings people face-to-face with the reality of plastic pollution. While this is a hot topic, many people are unlikely to change their behavior until they understand the scope of plastic pollution and see its impact on the environment.
Little By Little, A Little Becomes A Lot
We are super grateful that the 0913 Foundation donated 250 USD to our #PlasticFreeParadise campaign and enabled us to buy new materials for our weekly beach clean-ups and underwater clean-ups. Because of their help we now have:
👉🏽 8 pairs of new gloves
👉🏽 8 big beach bags (40 liters!)
👉🏽 8 hip bags for underwater clean-ups
👉🏽 8 mesh bags for beach clean-ups and underwater clean-ups
👉🏽 8 carabiners to attach mesh bags to our dive equipment
👉🏽 1x digital scale so we can easily measure how much trash we collect during our clean-ups
As conservationists and ocean lovers, the ocean is more than just our favorite place to play. It is our arena, our office, and our inspiration. We are grateful for every single one of you who’s supporting our mission to protect what we love.
